Saltwater > Fish > Large Angels
Majestic Angelfish - Navarchus Angelfish - Blue Girdled Angelfish Pomacanthus navarchus The Majestic Angelfish is a good candidate for those aquarists who like large fish. Many people will keep large angelfish in reef tanks although it is not usually recommended, this can be done however with some thought. Large angelfish will usually eat clams and SPS corals so care must be taken to assure all the residents will remain happy with the introduction of a large angelfish. The Majestic Angelfish feels much more secure with a lot of rockwork in the aquarium for it to dart in and out of and hide in when it feels anxious. This fish tends to be a loner although can be quite territorial too. Frozen omnivore diets, marine algae, clams, squid, mussels and good quality pellets should make up the bulk of their diet. Variation in foods is the key to happy angelfish.
