Orange Firefish

Nemateleotris magnifica

Colorful, hardy and peaceful the Orange Firefish is a great addition to any reef aquarium.  In nature they are often seen in large groups.  However, in aquariums they are better off kept singly or in pairs.  They are peaceful with just about any species of fish except their own kind.  Due to their small 3 to 4 inch size they can be kept successfully in aquariums as small as 10 gallons, as long as there are a few cover holes for them to dart into.  These fish are easily fed both frozen, enriched brine shrimp and mysis.
